
Diana DuVal, long-time Pasadena High School teacher, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
Ms. DuVal was a Bulldog alumni, Class of 1962. She taught physical education at PHS for 36 years before retiring in 2005. In addition, she coached gymnastics for several years and was our soccer liaison.
While attending Pasadena City College, she represented PCC as a Tournament of Roses Rose Princess in the 1964 Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.
Ms. DuVal received her BA and teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Masters from the University of Southern California. She was an accomplished figure skater, Olympic trials qualifier, and skated with Olympian Peggy Fleming for the Blade & Edge Figure Skating Club at Winter Garden Ice Rink.
Our condolences to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Charlie Merritt and her brother Courtland Kem DuVal.
